Another peak conquered: Mt Rinjani

At 3,726m, Mount Rinjani is the second highest volcano in Indonesia [source].

It is till date, the most challenging hike that I’ve ever attempted, due to the terrain.  Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t crazy tough (at no time did I ever feel that I can’t go on further)… but it was the longest I’ve ever done, and even Mt Fuji can’t compare in terms of difficulty.  Think walking 5 steps, only to slide back 2, along the trail to the summit!

3D2N it took.  And yep, that meant camping out – my 1st time ever doing so *achievement unlocked* \(^_^)/

The reward?  A gorgeous view from up there.  Totally worth the effort!  More details to be chronicled in the future.  For now, picture time!
